Verity Crawley is one of Great Britain’s leading professional ten-pin bowlers, competing on the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour in the United States while representing England in international competition.

Originally from Bournemouth on the south coast of England, Verity began bowling at the age of five and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Her talent became clear early, representing Junior Team England at just 12 years old at the United World Games in Vienna, where she won a silver medal.

After finishing Sixth Form, Verity moved to the United States to compete at collegiate level for Webber International University in Florida. During her time there, she helped the programme win three national championships while also collecting numerous individual titles.

Following her graduation, Verity joined the PWBA Tour, becoming the first British female to compete full-time as a professional bowler in the United States. Since then, she has established herself among the sport’s top competitors, earning multiple televised finals appearances and winning two PWBA titles, including the Grand Rapids Classic in 2023.

Verity has also enjoyed significant international success. In 2023, she won gold medals in both singles and doubles at the European Championship of Champions. She returned in 2024 to win gold in doubles and bronze in singles, continuing her record of success representing England.

Her achievements on and off the lanes have earned widespread recognition. In 2024, she received the BPAA Dick Weber Ambassador Award for her efforts in promoting and representing the sport of bowling worldwide. In 2025, she was inducted into the UK Tenpin Hall of Fame and named BTBA Bowler of the Year.

Alongside competing professionally, Verity is passionate about growing the sport through coaching, mentoring young athletes and connecting with fans through clinics, events and online content. Through her platform, she continues to inspire the next generation of bowlers while representing the sport at the highest level.
